Two positions in Entrepreneurship and Strategy(Lille – Sophia Antipolis)

OPEN POSITIONS @ SKEMA BUSINESS SCHOOL

The department Strategy & Entrepreneurship of SKEMA Business School is seeking applicants for positions of assistant or associate professors in Entrepreneurship or Strategy to begin by September 1, 2011. Candidates must demonstrate high teaching potential and significant research capabilities with the motivation to engage in innovative teaching and research projects on a team and on individual basis. Applicants should be involved in the pedagogy and the tutoring of the students. They should eventually take responsibilities of coordination of courses, and programmes in the future. The applicants are expected to teach courses such as strategic management, innovation, international strategy and will get the opportunity to develop specific courses on their speciality.

For their research, applicants will collaborate with the Knowledge Technology & Organization (KTO) research group which is concerned by the study of management and strategy in a knowledge economy.

KTO is empirically oriented, focused on all and has a traditional focus in Innovation and entrepreneurship, but our faculty also have research interests in Organization, knowledge management and information systems, technology management, international business in a knowledge economy. KTO’s faculty approaches from different research perspectives (including economics, strategy, organization theory, psychology, and sociology) maintaining a high methodological diversity. KTO is specifically interested in the following topics:

– Regional cluster analysis and knowledge sourcing strategies

– Virtual social networks and communities of practice

– Determinants of SMEs growth

– Knowledge, organization and innovative performance

ABOUT SKEMA & OUR FACULTY

On June 30th 2009, CERAM Business School and the ESC Lille School of Management announced their merger to become one of the leading European Business Schools. SKEMA Business School is an academic institution located within large, expanding techno-poles. It currently operates on three continents with campuses in France (Sophia Antipolis, Lille and Paris), China (Suzhou) and the US (Raleigh –NC state campus).

SKEMA has also established a close parternship in research with the University of Lille II (the research centers in Management of the University and the school merged in 2007) and the Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Economiques (OFCE – research center in economics of Sciences-Po Paris). The expertise of our faculty contributes to deliver an educational program that perfectly reflects the global economic environment.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

One dutie will be based at , Sophia Antipolis in France, the other in Lille . Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent (or be close to completion) and demonstrate the ability to teach in English. Knowledge of French, although not strictly required, is appreciated.
