ESU is an Intensive – week-long! – Entrepreneurship Conference and Training Programme for Doctoral Students and Early Stage Researchers. It has been running in different European countries for more than ten years, and in 2015 is hosted for the first time in the UK.
ESU2015 is aimed at PhD students and Early Stage Researchers in Entrepreneurship, broadly construed. It offers a unique opportunity for young scholars to meet other PhD students / researchers; to present their ideas, review other students’ papers, and create their own networks in a supportive atmosphere managed by leading European researchers. For those who are interested, IELTS accreditation is facilitated by Professor Francisco Linan of Seville University. Experienced researchers are also welcome to present their papers on the integral conference day (Wednesday 19 August 2015), with high profile publication opportunities for the best papers managed by Professor Alain Fayolle of EMLyon. The ESU concept is to combine scientific sessions and cultural events, allowing the delegates to discover the culture of a different country each year while having the time and space to create long-lasting networks.
ESU2015 runs from 16-22 August 2015 and will be held in central Southampton at Southampton Solent University, so that participants can combine the event with cultural tourism on the UK South Coast before or after the event. Cultural opportunities include viewing the best surviving copy of Magna Carta in its 800th Anniversary year, touring Stonehenge and Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, and visiting the Titanic and Marie Rose Maritime Museums.
