The 3rd International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference

8th-10th September 2008,

Canary Wharf, London, UK

Seven weeks until IEEC 2008 – reserve your place today

The evening of Monday September 8th will see the launch of this year’s International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference with a networking drinks reception in the spectacular setting of the Britannia International Hotel overlooking one of the world’s iconic business districts, London’s Canary Wharf.

Over two full Conference days – Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September – Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) will deliver a rich international line-up of speakers, and great opportunities for delegate participation through workshops, poster sessions and a live competition.

This year’s third annual International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference builds on the success of our conferences in York in 2006 and Cambridge in 2007. Both brought together many of the world’s leading educators and practitioners to share best practice and explore the latest developments in entrepreneurship education.

We are welcoming bookings using the form at www.ieec.co.uk , and the Conference programme is now available on the website. To check availability of places please contact the NCGE office on +44 121 503 3239. Please be reminded that last year we closed bookings in advance of the event due to being oversubscribed – don’t be disappointed this year!

A wide array of interactive workshops have been finalised and will be led by entrepreneurship educators from throughout the UK as well as from European, US and Canadian universities. Full details are available on the conference website.

IEEC 2008 will announce the largest mapping survey of all EU higher education institutions and the European Commission will present the findings of the Expert Group Report on Entrepreneurship Education in Higher Education. We will also launch the Final Report of the NESTA/CIHE/NCGE Project ‘Developing Entrepreneurial Graduates’ aiming to support Higher Education to create the conditions for entrepreneurship.

There will also be reports on our first International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme from the first UK Entrepreneurship Education Fellows, and there will be views from China and Indonesia, including the UK Launch of the China-UK Entrepreneurship Educators Network, and an update on British UK-China projects led by the British Council.

Other IEEC speakers will present perspectives on the ‘Kauffman Campus’ initiatives in the United States, and alternative approaches to education from Denmark.

Remember that members of EEUK are entitled to a substantial discount, and there is also a limited number of discounted conference places available for those currently on the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (IEEP). We hope you can join us in London for IEEP 2008.
